A Long Weekend in New Orleans

This past weekend, I had a blast spending my Gregtober birthday weekend in one of my favorite US cities - New Orleans! If you have not been, the city has a beautifully European feel to it and the music and food scenes are some of the best. Whether you want to run around Bourbon Street with a cocktail (open container laws) or have a sensible drink at Carousel Bar, here are some of my suggestions to have an epic time:

Carousel Bar
At Hotel Monteleone - great spot to grab an Instagram pic!

Bacchanal Wine
Super popular but amazing spot for a glass of wine and music.

SoBou
At the W New Orleans (check out below for great perks) with some interesting cocktails - did someone say Cheerios?

Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop
It sounds weird but the specialty is the Frozen VooDoo Daiquiri—better known as the “purple drank.”
